Game of Thrones Dragon Eggs - Part 2

Quite a while ago I made a Game of Thrones Dragon Egg, pictured below.

I received a lot of hits on my blog for this item, and received a lot of praise from the readers - Thank you!  I also received many requests for the templates that I used, and I have happily shared those with you who asked.

However, I only made one Egg, and the show has 3 eggs.

Eventually I am going to make the remaining 2, and hopefully a wooden case for them.   I am going to use the same templates and methods that I did in my first blog entry.  To see the first entry click here.

First came the templates which I printed on card stock and cut out with Scissors.

As I mentioned earlier, a lot of people asked me for these templates.  So to save everyone some time, I am going to post the templates below.  All you have to do is click on the thumbnail to bring up the full size image.
Egg shape 5 is the center piece, and there is only one.  Egg shapes 4 - 2 progressively get smaller and Egg shape 1 is the smallest and the end pieces.

You can also download the Egg scales below.

For the egg scales I think it would be easier to do things a little differently than first time.  Use my scales template and print out one sheet on card stock and began cutting out the shapes.

Then trace the scale shapes on to sheets of foam.  This will be far easier than my previous method of printing multiple sheets and double-stick-taping them on to the foam.

I had started making 2 new eggs using these methods.

But they got damaged during my recent move.  Since they are easy enough to make, I will do so at a later time.

I also plan on making a matching box for the eggs to sit in.  To do this I took measurements of my eggs and created a simple box in SketchUp.

All in all, I hope these templates will continue to help others make wonderful Dragon eggs.
Thanks for reading!
